OKLAHOMA CITY - A suspect who was tased by an Oklahoma City police officer has died.

Police said 43-year-old Timothy Dennis died from unknown injuries at a hospital on Wednesday, September 26.

Police said Dennis randomly fired off several rounds as he walked down the street on Sunday, September 23. One neighbor who witnessed the incident said Dennis refused to comply with the officer's commands. The officer chased him down the street and ended up firing his taser.

Dennis still had the gun on him when the officer fired the taser. After being tased, officers noticed Dennis was having trouble breathing. EMSA transported Dennis to an area hospital in critical condition. He remained on life support for three days until his death on Wednesday.

The State Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The incident is currently under investigation by the police department's Homicide and Internal Affairs Units.
