U.S. Marshals and the Muskogee County Sheriff's office are asking for the public's help in solving a cold case.

They are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of assaulting his 70-year-old grandfather and leaving him for dead.

U.S. Marshals said Timothy Curtis Peterson, 33, beat his grandfather, stole $2,000 from him, and then took his truck.

This happened back in 2009 and investigators have been looking for him since.

They said Peterson also raped and sodomized a 7-year-old girl in 2000.

He was last seen in the Longtown area in 2009. He is considered extremely dangerous.

There is a $2,500 reward offered for information leading to his arrest.

If you know where he is, call the Muskogee County Sheriff's office at 918-348-5075 or the U.S. Marshal's office at 918-687-2523.
