Police say alcohol and driving at a high rate of speed played a role in a deadly collision near NW 10th and County Line Road early Saturday morning.

They arrested a Colorado man who tried to run from the crash site.

Investigators say Eric Bowman, 24, was behind the wheel of a pickup truck. They say he was driving under the influence and going more than 100 miles per hour when he collided with an SUV.

Bowman is being held on two complaints of second-degree murder, leaving the scene of a collision involving death, driving with a revoked license, reckless driving and speeding.
