OKC Police Arrest Homeless Man Accused Of Beating Another Man

Police arrested Robert Dyer, 24, after he allegedly jumped a man, beat him and cut him with a knife.

Oklahoma City police arrest a homeless man accused of severely beating another man.

According to a police report, Robert Timothy Dyer, 24, along with two friends allegedly jumped a man, beat him and cut him with a knife. It happened Monday, August 13 at 8100 W. Britton Road.

When police arrived, officers said they saw the man covered in so much blood they were unable to determine the man's race. The victim told police the men beat, choked and stabbed him. The victim suffered a deep cut to his arm and his eyes were swollen shut. He was transported to the hospital.

Police said Dyer accused the man of stealing money from him, although the victim denied he stole any money.

Police arrested Dyer on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault and battery. The report states Dyer is a transient from California.

No other arrests have been made.
