A two-car collision two miles south of Perkins Tuesday night kills two people.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Grady McIntire of Tryon was driving north on U.S. 177 just after 7 p.m. According to OHP, McIntire lost control of his 2002 Dodge pickup truck on a curve. He veered to the left and went off the road. He then over-corrected and slammed into a 2007 Dodge pickup heading south.

McIntire was pinned in his vehicle for more than an hour and died at the scene. The driver of the second pickup, 18-year-old Callie Mainus of Agra, was rushed to Stillwater Medical Center. She was later transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She died early Wednesday morning from her injuries.

Troopers say it was raining at the time of the accident, and McIntire may have been driving too fast on the wet roadway.
