The Tacoma Rainiers scored three runs in the bottom of the second and didn't look back in a 5-1 victory over the Oklahoma City RedHawks Saturday night.
The scoring began when Carlos Peguero scored on a wild pitch by Brett Oberholtzer to make it 1-0. Carlos Triunfel followed that with an RBI single to make it 2-0, then a sacrifice fly by Brandon Bantz made it 3-0.
The only RedHawks run of the game came in the third when Brett Wallace scored on a fielding error by Rainiers first baseman Justin Smoak.
Erasmo Ramirez earned the win for Tacoma, pitching six innings, allowing just the one unearned run. Oberholtzer took the loss for OKC, allowing four runs in just 4 2/3 innings.
Oklahoma City begins a four-game series in Salt Lake City on Sunday at 5:05 p.m.
