The Boys and Girls Club in Oklahoma City say they have too many kids and not enough volunteers this summer.
The club had to get this sign this summer saying ‘sorry, over capacity'. And the boys and girls who've been turned away say they wouldn't know where they'd be without their safe place.
The club capacity is 375, and kids have been turned away almost every single day this summer due to that capacity being met. The Boys and Girls Club board members are talking about expanding so kids aren't out on the streets.
Board members say they hope to open more locations to meet demand, but need donations, mentors and volunteers in order to do so.
