A tip about some stolen property led the Logan County Sheriff's Office to a large amount of drugs and one suspect, but not to the registered sex offender they expected to find.

On July 17, deputies learned items stolen from a construction site -- such as copper wire and air conditioning systems -- may be located at a house in the 10000 block of Blanche Lane in Logan County. Deputies also discovered there may be a large amount of methamphetamine in the house.

The address was listed the home of 26-year-old registered sex offender Bryce Salmon, a man law enforcement agents say they've encountered many times.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence, and found a large quantity of meth, drug paraphernalia and a handgun. They also found stolen construction materials.

Deputies say Salmon was not at the residence, but another suspect was. They arrested 40-year-old Jason McHone.

Police are still searching for Salmon. They say he may be armed and dangerous, and the public should not approach him. Anyone with information about his location is asked to call the Logan County Sheriff's Office at (405) 282-4100.
