EDMOND, Oklahoma -- A stomp team from Edmond's Santa Fe High School is in the final stretch of raising enough money for a trip back to New York City. If the team wins an upcoming contest, it could result in scholarships and a chance to be in music videos.

The Edmond Santa Fe High School Stomp Team performed live nationally on BET's popular show "106th & Park." The "Coca Cola Step Competition" aired on June 20 and the girls took first place.

The team is scheduled to go back August 1, but they need to raise $9,000 to cover transportation, food, and hotel costs.

"They've been practicing non-stop and they're ready to return to win it all," assistant coach and coordinator Sonja Vaughn said.

Anyone willing to help the team raise money is urged to call Vaughn at (405) 282-4843.
