Cigarette May Be To Blame For Fire At NE OKC House

A cigarette may be to blame for an overnight house fire. It happened near N.E. 67th and Santa Fe at around 4 a.m. Saturday.

Fire crews say they were coming to check out reported smoke in the area when they came upon the house with flames shooting out.

Firefighter say two people in the house were already outside when they arrived.

The owner told fire officials he had been out in the garage smoking and thinks that's what caused the blaze.

There was damage to the garage and smoke damage to the rest of the house.
