Thunder Holds Off Brooklyn For One-Point Win

With the Thunder having filled its 15th and final roster spot on Wednesday, the current roster players for Oklahoma City sat out Thursday's Summer League contest in Orlando but OKC managed to pull out the victory anyway.

The Thunder beat the Brooklyn Nets 87-86 to improve to 2-2 in Summer League competition, while Brooklyn fell to 0-4.

Thunder roster player Cole Aldrich, Lazar Hayward, Reggie Jackson and first-round pick Perry Jones III all sat out of the victory. Aldrich and Jackson did not play because of a coach's decision, while Hayward sat out because of flu-like Symptoms. Jones missed his second straight game with a sprained ankle and will miss Friday's Summer League finale against Utah.

The Thunder was led by former Marquette guard Dwight Buycks, who had 22 points, five assists and six turnovers on 10-of-15 shooting.

Guard John Holland chipped in 15 points, guard Garrett Temple had 12 and center Gary McGhee had 10 but managed zero rebounds in 19 minutes despite his 6-foot-10 frame.

Brooklyn was led by Kansas rookie Tyshawn Taylor's 23 points and five assists. Forward Al Thornton had 19 points and six rebounds.

The Thunder wraps up Summer League competition at noon on Friday against the Utah Jazz.
