Edmond Police Seek Information On Attack Of Runner Near I-35

Edmond police are asking for the public's help in finding the person who attacked a 20-year-old female jogger Tuesday night.

Edmond police are asking for the public's help in finding the person who attacked a 20-year-old female jogger Tuesday night. 

Police say it happened between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on the I-35 Frontage Road, between E. 2nd and E. 15th Streets. 

Police say the victim was clubbed in the head.  Although she suffered a severe head injury, she still managed to make it home to the Clayton Subdivision, where neighbors say another family member called 911.

News 9 has learned the victim was taken to Integris Baptist Hospital, where she is recovering. Her name has not been released.

Police don't have any information about the suspect and are relying on tips from the public. If you saw anything, Edmond police urge you to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 359-4466. There is a reward offered for information leading to an arrest.
