Warr Acres Man Charged In Choking Death Of Teenage Girlfriend
WARR ACRES, Oklahoma - Prosecutors charge a Warr Acres man with first degree murder in the death of his teenage girlfriend.
Charles Sykes, 19, was arrested Monday, July 2 in the death of his 15-year-old girlfriend, Raveiana Satterfield. Police said Sykes choked the teen at an apartment complex in Warr Acres.
According to a police report, Sykes told investigators they were 'arguing and fighting' when he put Satterfield in a 'headlock choke hold' and applied pressure until she stopped struggling. He then wrapped Satterfield's body in a sheet and placed her in the bathtub, court records show.
Sykes' mother was the one who called 911 after finding the teenager's body after returning from out of town. Police said the body had been there for approximately five hours.
