Carlos Corporan's second inning home run gave the Oklahoma City RedHawks all the runs it would need Sunday afternoon in its 3-2 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs.
Corporan's fourth homer of the season scored Brett Wallace and Angel Sanchez, and gave the OKC the lift it needed to win the rare five-game series and head into the All-Star break on a high note.
Things got tight in the bottom of the eighth, when Donnie Murphy hit a solo homer and Mike Cervenak slapped an RBI single up the middle, but that's all New Orleans could manage. Mickey Storey shut the door in the ninth for his second save.
The RedHawks will be back at home to start the second half of the season Thursday night, when the opponent will once again be New Orleans.
