The President's healthcare plan has been upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, but that's not stopping Oklahomans from sounding off against it.
On the steps of capital on Saturday, the message to lawmakers is loud on clear.
"I think it's going to bankrupt us," Jennifer Barnhouse said.
Jennifer Barnhouse traveled with her granddaughter all the way from Broken Arrow to voice her outrage over the country's Supreme Court upheld healthcare plan. They've joined others with signs, flags, and an unwavering passion.
Most upsetting to these demonstrators is how Oklahomans passed an amendment prohibiting the government from forcing a person to join a health care system.
The Supreme Court's decision provide a final ruling on Healthcare, but these protesters like Jennifer Barnhouse aren't about to back down.
Like many other states, Oklahoma has been slow to comply with the reform, gambling that the law would be ruled unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.
The state now faces deadlines for implementing provisions of the act, like whether to create a health insurance exchange, or online marketplace where people can shop for health insurance.
