Andy Gonzalez led off the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off home run as the Nashville Sounds defeated the Oklahoma City RedHawks Wednesday night, 3-2.

Nashville had been just 1-12 against OKC this season before Wednesday night's victory.

Oklahoma City had just three hits for the game, and also had three team members ejected in the top of the sixth inning, including manager Tony DeFrancesco.

The game was a pitching battle for the first four innings, before Nashville started the scoring in the bottom of the fifth on a Jay Gibbons solo home run.

After a walk and a stolen base by Eric Farris, Seth McClung doubled to center to score Farris and put the Sounds up, 2-0.

The RedHawks struck for two runs of their own in an eventful top of the sixth inning. Angel Sanchez started the inning by getting hit in the head by a pitch. Landon Powell followed that with a walk.

Sanchez was removed from the game following the walk after initially staying in the game.

Starting pitcher Brian Bass was at the plate and had a pitch hit his hand while it was on the bat in a bunt attempt. The home plate umpire ruled it a foul ball, which prompted an argument from DeFrancesco. DeFrancesco and Bass, along with strength coach Gary McCoy were eventually ejected.

Following a strikeout, J.B. Shuck tripled to bring in Kreke and Powell.

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the ninth when Gonzalez took the seventh pitch of the at-bat and put it over the left field fence to give the Sounds the win.

Adalberto Flores took the loss for the RedHawks, his first of the year, while Vinnie Chulk grabbed his third win for Nashville this season.

The two teams are back at it tomorrow, with the four-game series tied at one. First pitch will be at 7:05 from Nashville.
