Police are searching for a 20-year-old man they say shot and killed a teenage boy on June 14.

Khaleeq Landon, 16, was gunned down at Windsor Village Apartments near N.W. 23rd Street and N. Anne Arbor. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police now say Deante James Hawthorne shot Landon. He's wanted on a first-degree murder warrant.

Hawthorne is a black male who stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has several tattoos; the symbol "NY" on the back of his neck, the number "2" on his left arm, the number "7" on his right arm, praying hands on his left shoulder, and the words "East side" on his right shoulder.
