Oklahoma City police say the complaint against a father will be upgraded to first-degree murder now that the man's 2-month-old son has died.
Police arrested 20-year-old Charles Whitlow on June 11 after he and the baby's mother brought little Corbin Whitlow to the emergency room at Deaconess Hospital.
Doctors and nurses first believed Corbin was dead but they were able to revive him. The infant lived for a couple of days, but died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the baby's exact cause of death.

Police say Charles Whitlow admitted to shaking and biting the baby. Before Corbin died, Whitlow appeared Wednesday before a judge for a probable cause hearing. The judge set his bond at $10,000.
Whitlow is currently being held in the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of injury to a child, but police say now that the baby has died, that complaint will be upgraded to first-degree murder.
