Oklahoma City snapped off their ninth-consecutive win Thursday, knocking off the New Orleans Zephyrs 9-5 thanks to one big inning from their offense.

The RedHawks led 2-1 in the bottom of the third thanks to a solo home run and a RBI double from Scott Moore, however they truly cracked the lead open in the bottom of the fourth.

Back-to-back singles in the bottom of the fourth put runners on second and third, followed by a ground ball single from Landon Powell brought Matt Downs home to push the lead to two runs. Paul Clemens followed with a sacrifice bunt to bring Brandon Barnes home and take a 4-1 advantage.

A wild pitch advanced the runners and a walk loaded the bases, setting the stage for Moore yet again, who singled to center field, bringing Paul Clemens and Brian Bixler home to take a five-run lead. Mike Hessman followed with a sacrifice fly to left field to bring Bixler home and Brad Snyder singled in the following at-bat to bring Moore home to take a 7-1 lead and cap the scoring for Oklahoma City.

Paul Clemens (7-4) picked up a win for Oklahoma City, giving up four earned runs on eight hits and striking out four in his five innings of service. J.D. Martin (3-5) struggled from the mound, for New Orleans, giving up six earned runs on seven hits and striking out four in 3.1 innings pitched

Oklahoma will try to make it 10 consecutive in the second game of the four-game series against the Zephyrs and 7:05 p.m. Friday.
