Tuesday night's storms brought damaging winds and hail. Tornado sirens wailed across central Oklahoma as the storms roared through the area. The winds knocked down power poles in Edmond and northwest Oklahoma City. Many residents also reported the storms tore down fences, small trees and branches. Drivers are urged to be extremely careful because debris from the storm littered streets.

The storms also knocked out power to thousands of homes. OG&E is working around the metro to restore electricity.
