Scholarship Established To Honor Austin Box

The family of Austin Box has established a scholarship for an Enid High School senior in honor of the former Sooner linebacker.

The family of former Oklahoma linebacker Austin Box has established a scholarship under the Austin Box 12 Foundation, an effort to honor the memory of its youngest son.

The scholarship will benefit an Enid High School senior who participated in sports and plans to attend a four-year university in the coming year. Box is remembered in Enid for his accomplishments, including leading the Plainsmen to an appearance in the 2006 Class 6A State Football Championship, as well as setting nine school records.

There are four main requirements for consideration for the scholarship: be a graduating senior from Enid High School, have participated in any sports throughout high school at any level, hold at least a 3.0 GPA and plan on attending a four-year university.
