Baby Ejected From Car In Crash In West OKC

Oklahoma City police are investigating after a baby was ejected from a car during a crash Thursday night.

It happened just after 7:30 p.m. near Reno and Rockwell. Witnesses say the Jeep went through the intersection and slammed into a car that ended up nearly wrapped around a pole. In the car were a mother and her two children.

The woman's 8-year old son broke his hand in the crash, and initially the baby wasn't responsive.

"She wasn't moving at first a minute…so [I] went by and she started to move her arm. We held hers ‘til…paramedics and police got here and we held her still. I was just trying to reassure her it was ok," witness Kayla Whitney said.

The mom and her children were taken to the hospital. There's no word on their conditions.
