COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Oklahoma finished out a series to forget on Saturday with another slow and steady loss.

The Sooners fell 5-3 to the Aggies at Texas A&M, allowing them to sweep the three-game set and hand OU its fourth conference loss in the past five games.

With the three losses over the weekend, Oklahoma fell to 4-8 in Big 12 play and 18-14 overall. The 4th-ranked Aggies improved their mark in conference play to 7-2 (26-6 overall).

After the third inning, OU held a 3-2 lead thanks to an RBI from Jack Mayfield and a couple of errors from the Aggies.

But two innings later Texas A&M came alive, making a late charge as it has the past few games.

In the bottom of the fifth, Jacob House came through for A&M with a two-RBI double down the left field line, making it 4-3 Texas A&M.

Catcher Troy Stein eventually drove in House to give the Aggies their final 5-3 margin even though it was only the fifth inning.

The final four innings were a gridlock between pitchers as neither team gave up a run.

Jonathan Gray was credited with the loss for OU, throwing six innings and giving up eight hits and all five of the Aggies' runs.

Rafael Pineda got the win for Texas A&M, throwing 5.1 innings and giving up five hits and two runs.

OU will have a Tuesday night game in Norman against Arkansas before hosting Missouri next weekend.
