US Supreme Court Vacates Sentence In Oklahoma Woman's Case

The Supreme Court rules a woman convicted for shoplifting will not serve a life sentence.

Cecilia Cathleen Rodriguez was sentenced to life in prison in 2009. She pleaded guilty to grand larceny for stealing purses from a department store.

The high court ruling orders the Criminal Court of Appeals to reconsider Rodriguez's sentence.
