Texas Man Killed In Fiery Crash In Norman

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the name of a Texas man killed Wednesday night in a crash on southbound Interstate 35 at Robinson in Norman.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the name of a Texas man killed Wednesday night in a crash on southbound Interstate 35 at Robinson in Norman.

Troopers say three vehicles were involved in the crash just before 9:30 p.m. Forty-five-year-old Russell Boyd of Magnolia, Texas, was killed when his when his 2003 freightliner semi crashed and burst into flames.

Troopers are still investigating and have not said what caused the crash.

The left lane of southbound I-35 between Robinson and Main was closed for several hours while OHP cleared the scene and investigated the crash. It was scheduled to reopen Thursday at 3 p.m.
