A Skiatook man accused of stealing three cows and three calves from a rancher in Osage County has pleaded not guilty to the crime on March 15.

Dennis Paul Burress Jr., 28, is currently being held on $5,000 bond at the Osage County Jail.

Police said Burress was identified as a suspect in the case after a special ranger with the Texas and Southwest Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) obtained sale documents and security footage from the Tulsa Stockyards Inc. that connected Burress to the crime.

The case is still under the investigation of the TSCRA and Osage County Sheriff's deputies.
