The parents are raising money for two $1,500 scholarships in honor of their daughter, Cheryl Bauer.

Bauer died in 2011 when a dumbwaiter malfunctioned at the restaurant where she worked, and dragged her to her death.

The scholarships will go to students at schools where Bauer attended, including Putnam City High School, Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City, and University of Central Oklahoma.
