It may have felt like spring over the last few weeks. But this weekend, we will lose an hour of sleep, and gain an hour of sunlight when we "spring forward."

The official change starts at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 11, as we set our clocks forward an hour for daylight saving time.

Remember to turn your clock ahead before heading to bed Saturday night to avoid getting up later than you think Sunday morning.

Doctors at OU Medical Center say the time change can have a real effect on our bodies.

Doctors say to combat the tired feelings, we should get outside in the sun on Sunday and Monday, and try not to take a nap on Sunday afternoon.

Daylight saving time will end this year at 2 a.m. on November 11.
