Children in the Oklahoma City School District are starting spring break this weekend. The district changed to a continuous learning calendar this year, which means students will be out of class for the next two weeks.

The Regional Food Bank is making sure hundreds of students won't go hungry over spring break.

"Right now we have a family living in a van. And they stay somewhere else at night. I don't know what they would do without the program," said Ashley Keller, a student at Webster Middle School.

Students already enrolled in the Regional Food Bank's Food for Kids backpack program will receive extra food to get them through the break.
