WELLSTON, Oklahoma - A small earthquake was recorded near Wellston, Oklahoma Wednesday night.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 2.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded at about 11:17 p.m. Wednesday. Its epicenter was about four miles south of Wellston, five miles southwest of Warwick, and 28 east, northeast of Oklahoma City.

The earthquake was about three miles deep.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported in this earthquake.
