Authorities ID Woman's Body Found In Creek County Field

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the body found Thursday afternoon in a field west of Sapulpa is that of 41-year-old Mitzie Sharia Pace of Oak Ridge, Louisiana.

The Creek County Sheriff's Office says people riding motorcycles off-road found the woman's body in a field four miles west of Sapulpa, off 209th West Avenue about a quarter mile south of U.S. Highway 33.

The OSBI used the woman's fingerprints to ID her.

"Trauma to her body is consistent with a homicide," according to a release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

The OSBI is assisting the Creek County Sheriff's office with its investigation.
