Pottawatomie County District Attorney Richard Smothermon says a former college professor is headed to Oklahoma to face child pornography charges.

Smothermon said Wednesday that 65-year-old former Oklahoma Baptist University professor Gary Doby of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, is expected late Thursday or early Friday and is to be arraigned Monday. Doby retired in 2008 as professor of early childhood development at Bloomsburg University.

Doby and 49-year-old former McLoud third-grade teacher Kimberly Crain each face 23 counts of child pornography.

Crain allegedly took photos of young girls while they were changing clothes and shared them with Doby, who prosecutors say she met when she was a student at OBU in the 1980s.

Crain has pleaded not guilty. Doby has not entered a plea. Both are being held on $1 million bond.
