In a tough battle to the buzzer, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls dropped its fourth straight game with a 53-50 loss to Kansas State Wednesday night in Manhattan.

OSU struggled offensively making just one of their first nine shots early on while the Wildcats, paced by Jalana Childs, scored 10 of the game's first 12 points.

The Cowgirls found rhythm and found the bottom of the net to go on a 12 point run to take a narrow 23-22 lead at halftime.

OSU would lead by as many as six points in the second before KSU went on a 10-0 run to go up 42-36 with less than eight minutes to play.

The Cowgirls rallied to score the next six points, but it wasn't enough as the Wildcats scored five quick points to go up 47-41 with 3:30 remaining.

OSU's Lindsey Keller blasted a 3-pointer to knot the game at 47 with just over one minute to go but Kansas State sank a 3-pointer of their own with :47 on the clock and moved ahead with three free throws in the final 15 seconds to notch the win.

KSU's Childs led all scorers with 22 points while the Cowgirls were led by Liz Donohoe's double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Tiffany Bias added 10 points and six rebounds for the Cowgirls who move to 13-11 overall and 5-12 in conference play.

Oklahoma State returns to action Saturday at 7 p.m. when they host Iowa State.
