Former Langston Officer Surrenders, Charged With Unauthorized Jail Entry

A former Langston Reserve Police Officer charged with unauthorized entry into jail has surrendered.

Dawud Ali, 60, surrendered at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on Saturday, February 11. Ali is facing six counts of unauthorized entry into a penal institution. Ali told jailers he was a law enforcement officer with Logan County when he actually was a law enforcement officer with the City of Langston Police Department.

Police said Ali visited his girlfriend who was housed at the jail. Those six visits were conducted from September 2011 through November 2011. Ali was released February 11 on $60,000 bail.
