Young Oklahoma City Drowning Victim Identified

Oklahoma City Police identify a 7-year-old boy who apparently drowned in southeast Oklahoma City over the weekend.

Police said Landon Siran's body was found at the bottom of a swimming pool on Sunday. The boy's mother and uncle said they took a nap around 3 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., they called police to the home in the 11000 block of Burning Oaks Road to report the child had been found in the pool.

An ambulance rushed the boy to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said there was ice on top of the water in the pool. It's not known how the boy ended up in the water.

Police said the drowning is being investigated as an accidental death.
