OSU Commit Marcus Smart Named McDonald's All-American

The forward from Flower Mound, Texas is the second consecutive Oklahoma State player to be given the honor.

Oklahoma State commit Marcus Smart was named to the McDonald's All-American team Thursday, marking the second consecutive year an Oklahoma State commit has been named to the team.

The five-star forward from Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas is the No. 14 overall recruit in the nation, the third-ranked power forward. In his junior season, Smart led his high school to 38-1 season and a state championship in Class 5A, the largest class in Texas.

A year ago, LeBryan Nash was named to the McDonald's All-American squad, and won the Slam Dunk contest during the Powerade Jam Fest.

The 2012 game will be played at 7:30 p.m. March 8 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
