Man Charged With Murder In Beating Death Of Cushing Woman
CUSHING, Oklahoma - Prosecutors filed a felony murder charge in the death of a Cushing woman. Authorities arrested Benjamin Littlesun Friday night for the beating death of 45-year-old Ava King.
Someone made a shocking discovery last Friday morning. A woman, later identified as 45-year-old Ava King, was badly beaten in an alleyway in Cushing.
Investigators said King was nude from the waist down. She was taken to the hospital where she died.
Later that day, authorities arrested Benjamin Littlesun after positively identifying hand prints left on a trash can near King's body.
Court documents show Littlesun told investigators he had been at a bar the night before with his cousin when he met King. Littlesun said he and King later had sex in his truck and King got out wearing only her shirt and walked away.
Littlesun said when he tried to go after King, but she spit in his face and slapped him. He said he punched King in the face, and stomped on and kicked her face and head about 20 times with his heavy work boots.
Littlesun told investigators he later threw his work boots on top of a nearby church. LIttlesun entered a not guilty plea Tuesday during his arraignment.
A judge has set a preliminary hearing for January 9.
