MOORE, Oklahoma - Moore police released new information in the death of a police K-9.

A police officer found the 5-year-old K-9 named "Bak" Saturday night along I-35 and Indian Hills Road. The department told News 9 it now believes Bak was hit by a car.

Officers said the dog vanished from its pen at the home of Sgt. Kerri Andrews between 10 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.

It's still unclear how the dog got out and the official cause of death is still pending.
