One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Delaware County Saturday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at 7:58 a.m. on County Road East 260, three miles north and two miles east of Grove.

According to the OHP accident report, a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by 19-year-old Brandi Jackson was westbound on County Road East 260, when it came over a hillcrest due to excessive speed, and struck a 2004 Chevy Tracker driven by 82-year-old Hugh Patchin.

Troopers said Patchin was southbound on County Road South 640 and was attempting to make a right turn onto East 260 when the accident occurred.

Patchin was transported to Intergris Grove hospital and later died due to injuries suffered in the wreck. Jackson was taken to the hospital and was treated and released in good condition.

The passenger in Patchin's vehicle, 72-year-old Agnes Patchin, was transported by Eaglemed to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was admitted with head, arm and trunk external and internal injuries in poor condition, according to the OHP report.

All three were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
