SHAWNEE, Oklahoma - A McLoud elementary school teacher is behind bars after police raided her home and took her into custody.

The arrest came just minutes after investigators pulled deleted images from the teacher's cell phone showing some of her young female students dressed in lingerie decorating her Christmas tree.

Kimberly Crain resigned from work Monday, but the DA says she could be facing federal charges.

"It's disrupting our life every day we see police and news reporters. We can't have a dinner without the kids saying ‘What's going on?' It concerns me," Crain's neighbor said.

The District attorney said parents should be concerned.

"You send your kids to school and you think they are going to be safe. The lesson plan that this lady had is alarming, shocking. There could be no explanation on her part," said Pottawatomie County District Attorney, Richard Smotherman.

Police obtained deleted photos and video off of Crain's cell phone showing juvenile females' exposed genitals, buttocks, and private parts.

Smotherman believes Crain is a flight risk. She is being held on a million dollar bond.

The state department of education says Crain got her bachelor's degree in P-E/Health from OBU in 1988. She earned her initial teaching credential that October. In 2006 she added elementary education.

She has been employed at McLoud Elementary since 2006. There is no other employment on record.

There is also no record of any disciplinary action.
