STILLWATER, Oklahoma – The first full week of basketball practice took a scary turn Monday, when freshman Cezar Guerrero sustained an injury and had to be taken to the hospital.
Guerrero was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital, but the seriousness of his condition was not immediately known. Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford – who said previously that Guerrero already had been a pleasant surprise – stayed with the freshman at the hospital.
Guerrero is a 6-foot, 175-pound point guard from California, and was rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com.
