OKLAHOMA CITY – Police are searching for a man who spewed racist comments then assaulted a woman in the parking lot of a southwest Oklahoma City convenience store.

Just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, August 21, a Hispanic woman went to a convenience store at S.W. 29th Street and Blackwelder to get something to drink. The victim says while she was in the parking lot, a white, four-door car that may have been a Pontiac or Buick pulled in beside her. Approximately five people were inside.

Police say the victim and the occupants of the car began arguing. At one point, a man stepped out of the white car and began yelling at the victim and making racist comments. Police say the man then punched the woman in the face. The man then got back in the car and the group drove away.

The victim suffered several broken bones in her face. She is recovering from her injuries. Police have released a photo of the man who attacked her. He's described as Caucasian, in his 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and approximately 220 pounds. The man had a large tattoo on his back.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity should call the Oklahoma City Police Assaults Unit at (405) 297-1121.
