OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma's Own Ride Against Childhood Hunger took place right here at News 9 early Saturday morning.
Hundreds of motorcyclists showed up at the station parking lot at 7 a.m. to register for the event. They got the chance to meet some of our anchors, have breakfast, and even got some "pre-game" massages before the ride!
The participants started their trip at around 10 a.m. They arrived at their destination, Forman Harley Davidson in Stillwater, just after noon. Activities including an auction, prize giveaways, and music are now taking place at the destination all for a good cause: feeding the hungry children in Oklahoma.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Childhood Hunger program. A bike entry fee of $100 will feed a child for half a school year through the Backpack and School Pantry Programs.
