OKLAHOMA CITY – A suspected crook pretending to be a customer swiped a fistful of cash during a convenience store robbery in northwest Oklahoma City.
On Wednesday, August 24, a man walked into the Star Mart at N.W. 23rd Street and N. Olie Avenue. The suspect pretended to make a purchase, but when the store clerk opened the register the man made his move.
The suspect dove over the counter and began grabbing cash from the register. The clerk struggled with the suspect, but the man still managed to grab several bills. After snatching all the money he could, the man ran from the store.
Oklahoma City police have just released surveillance video of the robbery. They want the public to take a good look at the suspect. If you know the man's identity, call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous.
