Firefighters Able To Quickly Extinguish OKC Grassfire

The Oklahoma City Fire Department has extinguished a grassfire that was started near Northeast 50th Street and Sooner Road in Oklahoma City Sunday morning.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Fire Department has extinguished a grassfire that was started near Northeast 50th Street and Sooner Road in Oklahoma City Sunday morning.

According to the fire department, they received a call about the grassfire at around 10:25 a.m. The caller reported heavy smoke in the area of 63rd Street and Sooner Road.

As firefighters arrived at the scene, they found approximately four acres of grass burning.

The fire department was able to call in additional sources to put out the fire quickly, before it threatened any structures.

No injuries were reported. The cause of this grassfire is still under investigation.
