OKC Council Extends Pay For Paralyzed Police Officer

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Council votes to extend the regular salary of Officer Chad Peery.

Peery was paralyzed in February while trying to break up a bar fight. Now, he's confined to a wheelchair.

The council agreed to pay Officer Peery until August of next year or six months past the time he would have otherwise stopped being paid.
