Kansas Man Critically Injured In Kay County Car Wreck

A man from Arkansas City, Kansas was critically injured in a four-car collision on U.S. Route 77 in Kay County Friday night, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

KAY COUNTY, Oklahoma – A man from Arkansas City, Kansas was critically injured in a four-car collision on U.S. Route 77 in Kay County Friday night, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

According to the accident report, a car driven by 35-year-old Trisha Marie Bruce was southbound on U.S. Route 77 when it crossed the center line and struck three other cars northbound on the other lane.

A car driven by 53-year-old Danny J. Scott was struck head on.

Scott was transported to South Center Kansas Regional Medical Center immediately after the wreck. He is listed in serious condition with full body injuries.

The other two victims in the wreck both refused treatment at the scene.

Bruce was transported to Ponca City Hospital after the accident where she was treated and released.

Highway patrol troopers say there was an odor of alcohol in Bruce's car. They determined the cause of the accident to be driving under influence.
