MUSTANG, Oklahoma – After a 7-4 record last season, the Mustang Broncos are once again hungry for success and they will look to senior Brandon Taylor for on-the-field performance and leadership.

The 6'2, 220 pound senior returns to the lineup this year with one and a half years experience of leading the Broncos spread offense. Last year he accumulated 3,304 yards, completing 237-of-404 passes with 35 touchdowns.

Mustang will look to not only his strong left handed arm to command the Broncos, but also to his leadership, especially with the graduation of leader David Glidden.

"He's played half a year as a sophomore and a full season last year, so I think the biggest thing for Brandon coming in is just his leadership on the field," said head coach Ty Prestidge. "He did a good job last year, but just being a senior helps you to take that role and the kids look up to him and he's doing a good job on the practice field right now for us."

"I was a little bit of a vocal leader last year, but with David leaving for OSU, it's just even bigger for me to step up and play that role as me being the big team leader," said Taylor. "I just need to step up and make sure my team gets on my back and I can help lead us to some wins."

For now, Taylor is keeping his focus on Mustang's upcoming season, but that hasn't stopped the eye of a handful of colleges from noticing him. As of now, he has one official offer from Oregon State, but Taylor says he is in touch with colleges like Arkansas and the University of Tulsa.

As the season quickly approaches, Taylor was sure to remind other teams of Mustang's talent and firepower this season.

"We've got some big, talented guys, some fast guys with really good hands," said Taylor. "If anyone thinks anything different, they're in for a big surprise this year."
