RedHawks' Three-Game Streak Snapped By Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Oklahoma City struck first, but was unable to hold off the Round Rock Express, losing 4-3, snapping a three-game win streak in the process.

In the top of the fourth, Brian Bogusevic grounded out back to the pitcher to bring J.B. Shuck home from third to take a one-run lead. Robinson Cancel reached on a fielding error in the next at-bat to bring Collin Delome home and make it a 2-0 advantage for Oklahoma City (43-33).

However, Round Rock (44-33) tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a Chad Tracy home run to left field, his 16th of the season.

Shuck reached on a one-out single in the top of the eighth inning and scored two at-bats later thanks to an RBI double by Brian Bogusevic to take a 3-2 lead, but the answered Express immediately. Back-to-back, two-out singles followed by back-to-back walks brought Julio Borbon home from third to tie the game 3-3 heading into the final inning.

Round Rock went back to work in the bottom of the ninth with one out on the board. Tracy singled to left field, followed by a line-drive double by Esteban German to put the winning run on third. In the next at-bat, Brad Nelson knocked a fly ball single to left field to bring Tracy home and win the game for Round Rock.

After blowing his first save of the season, Pat Urckfitz (0-1) received a loss for the outing, giving up five hits and two earned runs in 1.1 innings of service. Cody Eppley (3-1) received a win for the outing, despite giving up two walks in 1.1 innings pitched.

Oklahoma City will try to get back to its winning ways at 7:05 p.m. Sunday in the third of the four-game series.
