NORMAN, Oklahoma -- It was a night residents of Norman's Parkwood Apartments won't soon forget.

Strong winds Tuesday evening damaged several roofs and left 20 units uninhabitable.

Lawrence Bradley watched the storm with its rain, hail, and high winds grow stronger and stronger.

"Before I knew it, my roof was being ripped off my house," Bradley says. "I ran to the bathroom, trying to barricade myself in. The water kind of followed me into there."

Robin Taylor says the storm struck almost without warning. "It was crazy," she says. "It just came up. I mean, we had no sirens."

Bradley and Taylor have found other places to stay, and they're moving out all their furniture and possessions.

No one was hurt at the apartment complex.
